Novelty -
Stories & Perspectives
October

Dear reader
and writer,
Attached
you will find a PDF file with the November, 2010 Issue of Novelty - Stories & Perspectives.
Have
you perchance detected an apologetic trend flowing through our
contemporary culture? I am thinking about the urge to apologize big
time; like on "reality TV" or rolling over backwards because of some
war crimes or tribal confusion that happened centuries ago.
Sincere apologies may have some value under the right circumstances,
especially when conveyed in the relative dignity offered in private.
Public apologies? Here I have to be more skeptical, as I would note a
tendency for such things to be staged and hypocritical.
Excuse My Apologetic Tendencies,
the feature story in this issue, was written out of such concerns.
Here's a young man who has really devoted himself to apologizing, it
has become a strong urge. Roman Trend's story is also available as an
audiobook (MP3 file), which conveys the playful big city setting rather
well, I think. You can listen to the audiobook at
Noveltycast - The Literary Showcase, www.audioselect.org/podcast.
“No Means No” – A Kimberly Bennett story – Reviewed by Website
Examiner is the first article in the Perspectives
section. It is my pleasure to welcome this exciting new author on
board! The full short story is available for your reading pleasure at
our website, www.audioselect.org/novelty.
There you will also find a link to the online version of Website
Examiner's review: A click on the book cover image will bring you to
Ms. Bennett's personal website; a click on the link at the bottom of
the review will bring you directly to her online store, where the book
and e-book are available for purchase.
The Perspectives section finishes with Fiction
Factory's article entitled Protecting Your Copyright.
The online version has gained a steady audience and some inbound links;
certainly, it is practical advice worthwhile thinking about and maybe
even acting upon.
I do hope that is enough for ya'll. If not, please send me an email.
Enjoy!
Sincerely,
Morten Rand
